Including a detailed About Us page is a must for a website. This page can be an extension of the home  page, and really help the user get to know you or your company on a personal level. Some things the  About Us page should focus on include:

• Who you are, and what your company is about.
• Why they should be reading your content, or enlisting your services.
• How valuable your site and your company can be to them.
• General Information about your company (history, services, news), website, or you personally.
  

 The goal of the home page was to give a short and simple overview of your company to get your users'  attention. The about us page should be short and simple as well, but only in the sense that it should not give  useless information.

 On this page the user is seeking to find out exactly what your company does, and why  this should be the  last web site they visit on their search to find what they are looking for. Your about us  page should answer  these questions, and provide enough information so the user does not leave the site  with lingering  questions about your company.
