Goals / Marketing

What is the goal of your website? What do you want it to do for you?
What is the overall mood/feeling/message that you want to convey for your business?
What do you expect to draw people to your website? What do you want people to gain/experience/learn/feel from visiting your website?
Will there be any calls to action for your website (e.g. “Buy Our Product”, “Make an Appointment” etc.)? These typically appear on the homepage and are what you would like the user to ultimately do while visiting your website.
What is the first impression that you want a person to have who is visiting your website or your business?
Who is the target audience for your website (your target client)?

Content

Please provide an approximation of how many pages the website will have, and what the pages will be (e.g. homepage, about, products, etc.)
What type of content will there be (photographs, illustrations, videos, etc.)?
Will you provide high-quality imagery? Approximately how many images do you expect to provide?
How much textual content will there be? Will it be somewhat separated into how you would like it presented? Will you provide headlines, subheads, etc., or just copy?
How often will your content need to be updated? Are you interested in updating your own content?
When will we receive the content (both text and multimedia/imagery)? To properly design a website, it is imperative to design the site around the content and what the primary communication need is.
