Many government agencies are now using a paperless registration and transaction system. This requires any business that wants to do business with the government to be registered through a single master database called Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Our center can register you with CCR, as well as assist you in the process of registering with the State of Ohio and applying for specialized certifications as required.
The government is interested in buying from certain types of certified businesses, and it sometimes requires special certifications. The Kent PTAC can help you in the process of certifying your company.
Once you have found a potential contract opportunity, we can assist you in locating a technical description and price history of the service/product. This information is important in submitting a competitive bid.
Every day, the federal government publishes in electronic format every product or service they want to buy. Our bidmatch program uses keywords which describe your product/service to search government purchasing databases online. Once it finds bid notices appropriate to your capabilities, it emails them directly to you. The agencies represented include DLA, DOD, GSA, and participating local and state agencies.
The Department of Defense may require strict adherence to military specifications (mil-specs) or standards when they purchase a product. The Kent PTAC can help you find these military specifications and standards.
In supplying any product or service to the government, you will be required to follow regulations documented in the FAR. The Kent PTAC can assist you in understanding federal, local, and state regulations.
